Awen Collective Ltd. is an award-winning software company reducing the time spent by manufacturers and critical infrastructure providers before and after a cyber-attack or cyber-physical incident. We develop digital forensics software solutions for Industrial Control Systems, Robotics and Internet-of-Things devices.
We are based in Caerphilly in Wales but work across the UK, EU and globally.
In 2018 we were crowned Cyber Den Champions at CyberUK 2018 Exhibition, and are recognised by the UK Government National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) (a division of GCHQ) for our work on producing software for digital forensics analysis on critical infrastructure.

We have been through a few programmes of the "people-accelerator" called Entrepreneurial Spark (now known as the NatWest Entrepreneur Accelerator).
We are an alumnus of the Academic Startups Initiative (ASI) by the Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) (via the University of South Wales), which was established thanks to financial support from UK Government as part of the National Cyber Security Strategy 2016-2021.
Co-Founder and CEO
Daniel is the entrepreneurial co-founder for Awen Collective and is now its Chief Executive Officer. His academic background from the University of South Wales and the University of Bristol is primarily in artificial intelligence (including data science) and secondarily in cyber-physical security & incident analysis. His professional background is in software engineering and data consultancy. He was trained in entrepreneurship by the DCMS Academic Startups Initiative and the IoT Accelerator Wales, and is currently undertaking an MBA with Smartly. He is also a member of the IEEE.
Andrew is the technical co-founder for Awen Collective. He has a very extensive background in the areas of cyber-security and digital forensics, most recently as Professor and Head of the Information Security Research Group at the University of South Wales, and previously as Technical Lead - Cyber for DSTL. He is well-known and well-respected for his research, teaching and commercial work for both the public and the private sector, and has appeared as an expert both in the media (BBC News, WalesOnline, etc.) and in court.
Jules joined Awen Collective in August 2018 and is now it’s Chief Technology Officer. His professional background is in IT management and consultancy, including a previous role of Head of IT for cyber-security company, Darktrace. He holds a BSc (hons) in Computing Information Systems from the University of Bath and is a Member of the BCS.
Tom is the consultant Chief Financial Officer for Awen Collective, and one of the founding Directors of Lime Finance. Prior to this, Tom gained experience at UHY Hacker Young advising clients on all areas of commercial and corporate finance and was acquisition director at HLN Group. During his time with HLN, Tom lead the firm through five acquisitions in five years, helping develop HLN into a multi-discipline advisory group and a national business with offices throughout the UK. In addition to founding Lime Corporate Finance, Tom is a business coach on the Welsh Government Accelerated Growth programme.
Dr Gerhard Manogg
Gerhard is a Non-Executive Director for Awen Collective, with a wealth of experience within the software development sector. He is also Director of Imagitech.
